The viewing and getting your images
You’ll be invited back to the studio for a viewing session around a week after your photo shoot where I will help you choose the images included in your package.
At your viewing session, I’ll help you choose your favourites and talk you through digital options and artwork if you’d like it.
Your final digital images will be available within 2 days of your viewing, with artwork taking around 2 weeks to be delivered.

What age is best for a cake smash session?
Most families book a cake smash to celebrate a first birthday, but we can absolutely photograph other milestone birthdays too. If you’re unsure on timing, tell us the date you’re celebrating and we’ll guide you.
Do you provide the cake?
We can provide the cake for +£30, or you’re welcome to bring your own. Cakes with plenty of buttercream tend to work best for that classic cake smash mess.
Can we choose the colours or theme?
Yes. You can keep it simple and timeless, or choose a colour/theme. If you have an idea in mind, share it when you enquire and we’ll guide you on what photographs best.
What’s included in the £200 session?
If you bring your own cake, your cake smash birthday session is £200 and includes 10 digital images.
What happens during the session?
We photograph the session in two parts: first we take clean birthday portraits in a party outfit, then we bring in the cake for the messy fun.
What should my baby wear?
For the first part, bring a party outfit you love. For the cake smash, many parents choose something simple (or even just a nappy cover) so the focus stays on your baby’s expressions.
Do you do the clean-up?
We’ll handle the studio clean-up – just bring a change of clothes for your little one for the journey home.
Where is your studio? Is there parking?
Our studio is in Longton, near Preston. There’s free nearby parking — we’ll send full details nearer the time of your session.
Can parents or siblings be included?
Absolutely — if you’d like a few family or sibling photos, mention it when you enquire and we’ll build it into the session flow.
What if my baby doesn’t like the cake?
That’s completely normal. Some babies dive straight in, others need time. We keep things relaxed and follow their pace – curiosity and little reactions make beautiful photos too.
When will we see our photos?
You’ll be invited back for a private viewing around a week after your session to choose your favourites.
Can we buy extra images or prints?
Yes — at your viewing you can select your included images, and if you’d like extras or artwork for your home, you can explore options then (no pressure).
