What happens during the session?
We’ll keep everything calm and un-rushed. We usually start with simple portraits in an outfit you’ve brought (with and without your partner), then move onto the studio dresses for a few different looks.
If you’re comfortable and feeling amazing, we can also do a more minimal “bump-focused” setup (such as a fabric wrap). Everything is guided, and we only do what feels right for you.
When should we book our maternity session?
Most mums-to-be book their maternity session between 28–34 weeks — you’re showing beautifully, and (usually) still comfortable enough to enjoy it.
If you’d like your images ready for a specific date (baby shower, keepsake prints, due date), we recommend booking 4–6 weeks ahead so everything feels easy.

When is the best time for maternity photos?
Most mums-to-be book between 28–34 weeks. You’re showing beautifully, and it’s usually a comfortable point in pregnancy for posing and outfit changes.
Do you provide maternity dresses?
Yes — we have a small wardrobe of studio dresses available, and you’re also welcome to bring your own outfits.
I feel awkward in front of the camera — is that normal?
Completely. Most people feel that way at first. We’ll guide you gently with flattering posing and simple prompts so you never feel stiff or “performy”.
Can my partner be in the photos?
Absolutely — we’ll take a mix of images with and without your partner (and we keep it relaxed and natural).
Can older siblings be included?
Yes – bump-siblings are very welcome. We’ll build it into the session in a way that feels calm and easy.
How long is the maternity session?
Around 1.5 hours, so there’s time to relax, change outfits, and take everything at your pace.
Where is your studio? Is there parking?
Our studio is in Longton, near Preston. There’s free nearby parking — we’ll send full details nearer the time of your session.
What happens at the viewing?
You’ll come back around a week later for a private viewing to choose your favourites in a calm, no-rush setting.
How many images do we get?
Your session is £200 and includes 10 digital images.
Can we buy extra images or artwork?
Yes – you can choose your included images at the viewing, and if you’d like extras or artwork for your home, we’ll show you options (no pressure).
