Having a cake smash session is like throwing a party where the messier, the better! It's a fun and adorable way to celebrate your little one's milestone birthday while capturing priceless memories that you'll cherish forever. But it's not just about the cake (although that's definitely a big part of the fun!). From their first tentative taste to the gleeful smearing of frosting all over their face (and probably everywhere else too!), a cake smash session is a playful reminder of the joy and innocence of childhood.

Plus, let's talk about the photos themselves! Whether you opt for a themed setup or keep it simple, the resulting images are guaranteed to be absolutely precious and ones to look back on and enjoy for years.

We do the shoot in two parts, to start we’ll take some nice shots in a ‘party outfit’ so bring along a nice birthday outfit and we do these on a birthday background set up. We will then bring in the cake to start the fun.

We can provide the cake (added £30 cost) or you are welcome to provide your own. We find cakes with lots of buttercream work the best so they can get it all smooshed in and make as much mess as they can.

The shoot is all about them having fun and making as much mess as they like, don’t worry about the clean up of the floor that’s our job but be sure to bring a change of clothes for the ride home. We’ll have lots of baby wipes on hand for the baby clean up.
